Randolph police officer dies in car crash on Route 3

A longtime Randolph police officer was killed in a car or truck crash Saturday early morning.

Randolph Police Main Anthony Marag reported Officer Michael Beal was included in a crash with a further car on Rt. 3 by the Derby Street exit. Beal died from his accidents, according to Marag.

Beal was married with 8 young children. He was a 35-calendar year veteran of the Randolph Police Section.

“He was an awesome person and friend to all inside this section. This remarkable household person leaves behind a spouse and eight small children,” Marag explained in a assertion. “Please maintain his family members, buddies, and members of the Randolph Police Office in your feelings and prayers.”

The Plymouth County District Attorney’s place of work mentioned the crash took place all-around 6:20 a.m. on Rt. 3 South in Hingham. Arriving officers located Beal in the highway and his motor vehicle crashed in the median.

Beal was pronounced dead at the scene, the district attorney reported. He was 61 several years aged.

A 2nd auto was stopped in the breakdown lane with hefty front conclude destruction. That driver was taken to South Shore Clinic with slight injuries.
