Mercedes-AMG SL 63 S E Performance will arrive until the end of 2022

The most highly effective variation of the Mercedes-AMG SL will debut by the finish of the calendar year. It is not sure it will be named the Mercedes-AMG SL 63 S E Effectiveness but it will have over 700 HP.

For now, the new Mercedes-AMG SL is available in two variations: SL 55 with 476 HP (from 158,240 euro) and SL 63 with 585 HP (from 187,098 euro).

But as AMG chief Philipp Schiemer declared, the variety will be done with a 6-cylinder model and a prime-of-the-selection plug-in hybrid model centered on the powertrain from the new AMG GT 63 S E Efficiency. The powertrain of the AMG GT 63 S E Effectiveness combines the 4-litre, 639 HP/900 Nm V8 bi-turbo engine with 48V gentle hybrid and a 204 HP/320 Nm electric motor driving the rear axle. The electrical motor is run by a comparatively tiny Li-Ion battery of 6.1 kWh gross (4.8 kWh net) which supplies an electric powered variety of only 13 km.

It is not yet crystal clear if the upcoming Mercedes-AMG SL major model will have the similar quite high electricity as the GT 63 S E Performance 4-door coupe. The Mercedes-AMG SL 63 S E Performance will have as its most important rival the Porsche 911 Turbo S which has 650 HP. Consequently, it is possible that Mercedes will offer you a model with a lower electric power, somewhere all-around 700 HP.

The Porsche 911 Turbo S claims acceleration from to 100 km/h in 2.7 seconds while the Mercedes-AMG SL 63 with 585 HP wants 3.6 seconds. Certainly, the AMG SL 63 S E Overall performance or regardless of what the title will be will approach Porsche’s figures.
